We are a quilt guild that serves South King County by creating community service quilts to benefit those in need.
We promote the art of quilt making and provide information, inspiration, and fellowship.
Goals:
The four-fold purpose of the Crazy Quilters of Federal Way is:
· To promote the art of quilting and quilt-making by workshops, lectures, and exhibitions offered to members and the general public
· To preserve the heritage of quilt making and quilt appreciation
· To provide an information base for those interested in quilt making and related arts, and to encourage excellence in those areas
· To provide a source of inspiration and fellowship for quilt enthusiasts.
Crazy Quilters of Federal Way was established in 1984 by women who wanted to get together and had quilting as a common bond.
Our Charter Members were Marianne Garrett, Nan Naubert, Nancy Kelly and Melinda Shirley.
The understanding is they choose the name, not because they were making crazy quilts, but because thezy liked to "be" CrAzY QuILtErS.
If you go to the "Raffle Quilts" page, you can see the very first raffle quilt that Crazy Quilters did.
